One Week Past Due
Just sitting here at home waiting for something to happen. Sev is here now, and mom. Tata unfortunately has to leave but the minute baby comes out he will be back. Anyways, it should happen this week and everyone will eventually know.
Oh, and I think today was the last day someone put down their name for the baby pool in California. Looks like I win! :)

Through the months...
It's the weekend before the due date and I thought we could take a look back over the weeks and months. Can't believe at any moment we are going to be parents! So exciting!

Just One Left to Go!
The Amato twins are here! And so cute. David Bernard was first, weighing in at 9 lbs. 8 oz., and then Madelyn Rose, weighing in at 8 lbs. 14 oz. Mom and babies are doing great. Get to go home tomorrow!
I think Mike is a bit relieved that we are only dealing with one baby (for now). So, one week from today! I can't believe that we are already there! I'm not having many signs of preterm labor but I am not going to read into it because everyone is different. I am just going to consider myself lucky that I haven't been in pain for the last 9 months! Here I am this morning. Yes, I am looking tired but it doesn't help that the Laker games are all on west coast time either!
We had a great time with Mel and we are excited to hear about all her accomplishments in Norway! Next time we see each other I will have a baby and she will be getting married! Crazy how life works!
By the way, mounted the tv in the basement! AMAZING! Everyone is welcome to come over and hang out...in a few months or so. :)

IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, BABY!
That's right. Guess what's in there...
A PUMPKIN! Well, that's the size of LP this week. Two weeks from today is the due date, so really Mike is "on call."
I would like all of you worry worts out there to know that we successfully installed the infant car seat yesterday, we finished setting up the changing table, and packed the babies hospital bag (meshu included). Just need a few last minute things, like a baby changing pad cover, but other than that we are ready and super excited!
I guess I still need to pack, but considering the hospital is only 15 minutes away I am not too concerned. Mike is still adding to his stuff because he read he will need to have some distractions (i.e. all handheld portable gaming systems are being charged as we speak).
On top of all that the basement is 99% done and the couch is ordered! By the end of this week we will be relaxing in style!
On top of all this Mel is coming to visit for the week and we can't wait to see her!

An Exciting Thursday!
I would just like to share that the carpet is being installed today! Pictures to follow. Sorry if you thought I might be in labor and posting. That will not be the case.
Also, kind of funny...I woke up to Mike packing stuff for the hospital. His stuff. NOTE: I haven't even begun to pack. I think someone is excited!

We made it to WATERMELON!
Today I am 37 weeks and 1 day! And for the next couple of weeks, and hopefully that's it, the baby is the size of a watermelon! Growing a half pound per week! We are still measuring average, so not a huge baby like everyone anticipates. I think just long! Here I am this past Sunday...
I am starting to slow down. Thank goodness my mom was here this past week! What a life saver. I would say mom did 85% of setting up the nursery and I did 15%. And I think mom loved every part of it. The baby clothes are all washed and smell delicious, and they are all put away. Here is the nursery so close to being done. The crib is made, the stuffed animals are awaiting LP, and the chair looks so inviting! We still need to set up the changing table and once the art is here it will go above the crib. We are in love with the nursery!
Mike and I also assembled the pack'n play, the swing, and the little bouncer. Now we just need the baby!
This has been quiet an amazing experience and I am just so excited to meet this little one and to actually go through labor. Is that strange? We finished our classes last week with a tour of the hospital and makes me want to have the baby even more.
The basement is also almost done! Here is the pictures of the latest development. Really all that is left is carpet and finishing touches!

A Wonderful Weekend
Today we are officially in the 37th week! 28 days from today! The count down is on...

This weekend was not only a beautiful one but a really special one. My wonderful friends threw me an awesome baby shower filled with friends and family! It was so wonderful! In addition, my mom was here to take part in it. Mike and I are so lucky to have so many people supporting us through this journey and I know that every one of them wants to babysit one day! :)
The bear Lara knitted for LP!
So Mike can take LP out fishing!

My amazing friends that put on this shower! Emilee, Lara, and Chris!

The mom's and their daughters!
Getting really super excited! Oh, and we did the needle over the bump thing and we are going with girl!
In addition to all this awesomeness the dumpster is leaving the property today (along with the raccoon who is taken up residency in it) and painting begins! WHOOP WHOOP!
