POP goes the belly!

Well technically my uterus is beginning to pop out. Nobody get wierded out. It's life! Just wait Alex!

Anyways, you were all lucky enough to hear the heartbeat yesterday. A strong heartbeat, a strong baby. We were also told a 1 in 10,000 chance of Downs which is the best you can have. I mean this baby is part Rowinski so I do not expect anything less. Yes, the doctor said she got a boy vibe but that could be because LP was moving around a lot. We have our next ultra sound in two weeks. We will remind them we don't want to know. Would ruin the baby pool! Plus, how much more exciting will it be when Mike comes out to tell you guys boy or girl! Such a great surprise! You are all going to be there, right?

Well, just a reminder. This is me at 15 weeks...

And here is the POP I speak of...me and LP at 16 weeks!

I'm told I will start feeling something soon! :)

Our Lucky Baby!

We have already received a few gifts for our LP. The first one was from the boys coach at Bourne. His fiance was so excited to get this...

And then the De la Vega's got us this cute number.

If you are having trouble reading it, it says "a Press & Rowinski Production." Melissa also got the Amato's two (for the twins) that says "an Amato Double Feature." Very cute...

And then I am making LP this cute baby blanket. Yes, it looks blue but it's blue, green, white, and yellowish...a girl would look just fine wrapped up in this blanket.

Mike and I have agreed that this baby is going to have a lot of love in their life and that it's going to be a very lucky baby.

We have our 16 week appointment tomorrow so I'll be back to let you know more. For now, me and our LP, which has reached avocado size this week, will keep each other company...it can hear our voices now!

And just for a little chuckle...

Oraaaaaaaaaanggggggggeeee you glad to see me...

Little peach is now a naval orange, about 4 inches. It's ears are now in place and it's wiggling up a storm in there although I can't feel it. My energy level is still so so but I am hoping to get it back soon. That's what everyone says! Second trimester is when you start feeling yourself again.

Here is a little preview. Is there something there!?

Can't wait to stuff myself on Thursday! The little peach is going to experience it's first Thanksgiving!

If life gives you A lemon...

We will love it until the day we die! Today LP is a lemon! Approximately 3.4 inches long but for some reason I imagine our LP is going to be a little longer than your average baby. :) Alex, Sevy, and I were all around 9 pounds and I know Michael wasn't small. It leads me to believe that ours will be right up there with us!

One of the questions I am frequently asked is how I am feeling. And I know that I have been very lucky because I have not had any morning sickness. What I do find myself saying a lot is that I am tired and somehow I find myself in bed between 8 and 9 p.m. (Mike too...I think it's those sympathy symptoms). In fact we have even went out to dinner at 5 both nights this past weekend, leaving myself to wonder if we have somehow transported into our 60's as well.

Here is the one thing I have had as a symptom and can say I truly enjoy...DREAMING! Here are the few of the players that I have crossed paths with:
Brad Pitt (twice)
Bill Murray
Sandra Bullock
Jason Segel
and a whole host of real life characters!

Loving our lemon more and more each minute...

So this is love...

We would like to introduce you to our little alien, I mean baby! Since we are going to wait for the big day to know what we are having we will now refer to he/she as our little peach (LP) until then...

We had an ultra sound this morning to look for signs of down syndrome. Everything looked good and our peach was healthy! And quite the wiggler. It only took about 20 minutes of watching for our LP to finally cooperate and turn at the right angle. How amazing that at 13 weeks we could see LP in there and moving it's arms and legs. It almost looked like it was sucking it's thumb already! So, without further ado, I give you LP Press...

Head to the left...

In this one you can tell LP is looking right at you!

The Next Chapter Starts Now

As you all know Mike and I are expecting our first Press child in May. May 14th to be exact. Our goal is to post once a week so that my family in California doesn't miss out on anything that is going on. Of course, comments, questions, encourgement, love, and support is always welcome. It is still very surreal but like my mom says, once I start showing there is no denying...I'm PREGO!

Love,
Y + M
