A Little Preview

We had some wonderful visitors this weekend, the Burdick family! Shanua, Andy, and Will, who just turned 21 months. He was adorable and wonderfully behaved! Mike and I hope our baby is just as cute and great as him!

Tomorrow is a new day and a new week. Feeling pretty good for 24W7D right now. I think the only real difficultly is my brain. Mentally it's tough growing/expanding the way I am, but when I wake up to some morning kicks I realize it's all worth it. We are told Mike may be able to hear the heartbeat now if he lays against my belly. We will try and keep you updated. Here I am technically entering my 26th week!

Having Will here sure made us excited and of course just a little tired. We decided that the rest of the pregnancy will be considered vacation and we are going to take every opportunity to relax! Which includes indulging in King of Thrones! If you need something to delve into this is it!

Here is Shauna and I. Shauna is expecting her second in June! These babies will be best buds!

Baby = Fruit, Update!

Listen up people. Our baby fruit/veggie ticker has been updated and we now have something new for every week! How exciting. So rather than remaining a papaya for a few weeks we are now a grapefruit at 24 weeks and 3 days! You may now resume your regularly scheduled day...

EQUALS

P.s. How is a grapefruit smaller than a papaya?

From Sun to Snow

Well, baby Press and I have returned back to our normal routine. Only one thing has changed. It finally snowed, for real!

And Stoli loves it!

We are 23 weeks and 7 days pregnant now and boy does this little Press like to move. As you can see I am actually looking pregnant now. People at work have actually stopped me in the halls and have said they weren't sure if I was putting on the weight or preggo but now they can tell! And speaking of weight...didn't really enjoy stepping on the scale at the doctors last Tuesday. I know it's for the baby and I am hoping to lose it fast because soccer season is a month after the baby is born!

The most exciting thing that happened this week was babies first Lakers game! Thank you Erika for such a terrific night! Nothing is better than watching the Lakers win with a 3 in the last seconds! Plus, I can't even begin to tell you how many stars we saw. Let's just say Erika and I could possibly be in the background of Khole and Lamar's reality show. Just sayin'...
It's hard to get better seats unless you are on the court!

Khole Kardashian Odom and Kris Jenner

Actually, now that I think of it something else amazing happened this weekend! My husband sent me a surprise package on Friday at work. Four delicious, moist cupcakes in mason jars! Yes, I downed the whole red velvet in one sitting. I have to say, I think he's a keeper. :) I think that's 3 cupcakes in one week. Maybe that's why the scale was so mean to me this week.

We will leave you this week with an introduction to some of Baby Presses anxiously awaiting family members. Apollo the German Shepard and the 35 chickens...

A (Hawaiian) Papaya

When I mentioned papaya everyone wanted to know which kind. Hawaiian, African, Mexican? I don't know but I am guessing Hawaiian since it's a US based website I get my weekly fruit from. Also, I can't imagine carrying a Mexican papaya. That's pretty big! So we will go with Hawaiian!

I kind of missed last week but for good reason. One, I was busy, two, I flew to LA for a quick weekend getaway! And what a great weekend to get out of the northeast. I'm all set with 9 degree weather.

We are now in week 23 and until week 25 I will remain in the papaya category. I am feeling great. And boy is that baby moving! Last night Alex, Sev, Karolinka, and Mom were all able to feel the little one moving. Especially mom, who Baby Press really whacked her one. I think the baby knew Babcia was waiting. Here is how I looked at the beginning of 22 weeks...please ignore the fact that I am covering my boobs. They are just getting so big! :)

Not too bad. Trying to stay away from the sweets but that seems to be what I want more! You didn't hear this but we indulged in some Yummy Cupcakes yesterday.

While home for the short weekend I have gotten to see some family and friends. But nothing can be better than seeing this lady. Our California great grandmother/pra babcia to be! Who's other grandmother can pull off this t-shirt!!?!

I am heading back east tomorrow, Alex's big 29th birthday! We have our next check up on Wednesday. Can't wait to hear Baby Press' heartbeat again! Come back later in the week for your next Baby Press installment!

20 and 21 = Halfway!

Well first off, HAPPY NEW YEAR! This will be the year of Baby Press and I know he/she is going to be a mover and a shaker because I get kicked daily!

We missed last week due to the fact that we had no internet on vacation in St. Maarten (I know, doesn't life sound horrible). But last week was a huge milestone. 20 weeks means halfway, means 5 months! WHAT!?! 20 weeks was a cantaloupe and this week it's a banana! That means we really are having a baby! Here is what I looked like last week and there is absolutely no way you can deny it now...

And I'll throw in a couple more just for fun!

I can't believe I'm sharing this one because I feel like a hippo but oh well...

Here is one of the reasons St. Maarten is famous! Sunset Beach where you can practically get knocked in the head by landing planes and when the big jets take off you get knocked on your butt from the strong winds!

So, short and sweet (hopefully how the next 4 months will go)! And hopefully Baby Press is as cute as Ben...
