Press Home Update!

I'm happy to announce that the first big task has been accomplish (albeit by the blind guy)! We have blinds in the nursery! Which means we have finally emptied out the nursery. Just don't look in the guest room...

In addition to that as I sit on my day off I here the familiar sounds of life...hammering away in the basement. Electrical is being installed. Until those pictures are up, here is how the basement looks all nicely framed. It's very exciting to see it all come together. Now if Mike and I could agree on paint colors we would be all set!

Looking from the stairs across the entertaining area...bar in the far right corner!

"Laid Back" at 33 Weeks

At least that's what the doctor said last week! When asked about the nursery I said, "ummm, the walls are yellow." And they are yellow because that's what they were originally painted when we bought the house almost 4 years ago. She said if I am this laid back about #1 than #2 will be like nothing. I'll take that as a compliment.

Here I am at 32 weeks, almost 33, last Sunday. It's definitely a baby.

There has just been so much going on with us that I don't think there is much time for R&R. The basement is moving along nicely. We are meeting with the contractor tomorrow morning to talk about electrical. And then we have two inspections next week. We are in the process of picking tile for the laundry room and paint, and I don't think Mike and I could be any different about this. But I bet you can all guess who will win this one. :)

I did do something I have never done before last weekend! Bought the baby their first onsies from GAP. So cute! Here is a preview of what our stylish babe will be wearing.

Spring is in the air people! I am not even wearing pants today!

8 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!

WHAT!?!? That's right everybody we are just around the corner from meeting Baby Press. In the mean time we have decided to jump into a million projects at home. As I type right now the framers are out the house putting up walls in the basement! And taking down anything else that needs to come down. They will also be putting in sub flooring. We are wicked excited but when I think about it just be 8 weeks away it's a little scary.

Here is what the basement look liked as of this morning. This is the side that had the existing walls and is now going to be one room. On Monday the plumbers took out all the existing plumbing that was there so it really opened it up. Can't wait to see what it looks like tonight! Unfortunately I thought of it too late to take pics of the other side which is just one wide room.

On top of the basement construction we will also be redoing two closets upstairs and having blinds put in the nursery. No rest for this Press!

As for the baby, BP is doing great! Moving a lot and seeming quite content in nailing me in the same spot on a daily basis. Doesn't feel that great I have to say! Here is what I looked like on Sunday. Not the best shot. Somehow I always seem to take the pics in sweats when I should have Mike take the pics in my cute outfits. Oh well...

We are at 32 weeks now. The baby is the size of a pineapple! YUM YUM! So, what do you think about this outfit for the going home outfit!?

Our Little Acorn Squash

I realize I haven't kept up with the fruit/vegetable theme but I think it's because it's a little ridiculous. For instance, an acorn squash!? Anyways, that is where we are at. Baby Press is doing just fine. Coming off a relaxing vacation out west we have thrown ourselves full force into our basement remodel. Let's not sit around and wait for this baby! Let's make it more exciting...

With half a wall.

All opened up.

Mike really going after it.

Just one of the good friends that came over to help. Mason loved the sledge hammer.

Our new lawn ornament.

As for the actual baby he/she is doing great. Really kicking me this morning. We had our 30 week appointment last Friday and the heartbeat is lower in my abdomen which means the baby has or is in the process of turning. Heartbeat sounds so amazing! The baby can weight anywhere from 2.8 to 3.5 pounds now and is rapidly growing. We have so many wonderful gifts for this baby already it's quite overwhleming how great our friends and family are.

Last but now least. I don't look too bad for just getting up!
