IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, BABY!

That's right. Guess what's in there...
A PUMPKIN! Well, that's the size of LP this week. Two weeks from today is the due date, so really Mike is "on call." I would like all of you worry worts out there to know that we successfully installed the infant car seat yesterday, we finished setting up the changing table, and packed the babies hospital bag (meshu included). Just need a few last minute things, like a baby changing pad cover, but other than that we are ready and super excited!
I guess I still need to pack, but considering the hospital is only 15 minutes away I am not too concerned. Mike is still adding to his stuff because he read he will need to have some distractions (i.e. all handheld portable gaming systems are being charged as we speak). On top of all that the basement is 99% done and the couch is ordered! By the end of this week we will be relaxing in style!
On top of all this Mel is coming to visit for the week and we can't wait to see her!

An Exciting Thursday!

I would just like to share that the carpet is being installed today! Pictures to follow. Sorry if you thought I might be in labor and posting. That will not be the case. Also, kind of funny...I woke up to Mike packing stuff for the hospital. His stuff. NOTE: I haven't even begun to pack. I think someone is excited!

We made it to WATERMELON!

Today I am 37 weeks and 1 day! And for the next couple of weeks, and hopefully that's it, the baby is the size of a watermelon! Growing a half pound per week! We are still measuring average, so not a huge baby like everyone anticipates. I think just long! Here I am this past Sunday...
I am starting to slow down. Thank goodness my mom was here this past week! What a life saver. I would say mom did 85% of setting up the nursery and I did 15%. And I think mom loved every part of it. The baby clothes are all washed and smell delicious, and they are all put away. Here is the nursery so close to being done. The crib is made, the stuffed animals are awaiting LP, and the chair looks so inviting! We still need to set up the changing table and once the art is here it will go above the crib. We are in love with the nursery!
Mike and I also assembled the pack'n play, the swing, and the little bouncer. Now we just need the baby! This has been quiet an amazing experience and I am just so excited to meet this little one and to actually go through labor. Is that strange? We finished our classes last week with a tour of the hospital and makes me want to have the baby even more. The basement is also almost done! Here is the pictures of the latest development. Really all that is left is carpet and finishing touches!

A Wonderful Weekend

Today we are officially in the 37th week! 28 days from today! The count down is on...

This weekend was not only a beautiful one but a really special one. My wonderful friends threw me an awesome baby shower filled with friends and family! It was so wonderful! In addition, my mom was here to take part in it. Mike and I are so lucky to have so many people supporting us through this journey and I know that every one of them wants to babysit one day! :)

The bear Lara knitted for LP!
So Mike can take LP out fishing!

My amazing friends that put on this shower! Emilee, Lara, and Chris!

The mom's and their daughters!

Getting really super excited! Oh, and we did the needle over the bump thing and we are going with girl!

In addition to all this awesomeness the dumpster is leaving the property today (along with the raccoon who is taken up residency in it) and painting begins! WHOOP WHOOP!

36 Weeks! 9 Months!

We get to meet Baby Press so soon! And we are so excited to know what we are having! Both Mike and I are leaning toward girl now but who knows! Guess we really should get that name picked out...

Last week we were the size of a durian fruit. Twenty dollars to anyone who knows what that is and if you have ever eaten it! This week we are a butternut squash! That's quite a big vegetable to be carrying around.

The basement is looking awesome. The plaster guys are all done today. Next up is doors and then paint! We are getting so close to the end. Here is a quick look before they plastered.

In addition Mike and I organized our new closet! YAY! And for the finale...we set the nursery up! It's like 50% ready for little one! Need to do the decorating, organizing, and washing of everything still but it looks awesome! Thank you Press grandparents for such beautiful furniture and bedding!

APRIL=Tricking the Rowinski Family!

First off, happy April! The due date is upon us and we are getting very excited and anxious!

There is so, so, so much going on here at Casa Press. Our baby furniture and bedding arrived last week and it just makes things all so real. Look for picture in the next post after everything is configured the way we like it. On top of that the custom closets are being installed today and all the insulation is up in the basement. Anyways, the real reason for this post is letting the world know how bad we fooled the Rowinski's yesterday!

We decided to call soon to be Babcia and Dziadziu and let them know the doctor accidentally slipped and told us the sex at the last appointment. We were torn wether to tell everyone and wanted to give them the option, so we asked them if they wanted to know. And they fell for it...hook, line, and sinker! Soon to be Babcia said "hold on, JUSTYYYYYYN. They know the sex by accident, do you want to know?" And of course they did. So I said ok, ready, it's a APRIL FOOLS! Classic! Worked like a charm. Of course we had to do the same to Sevy and Alex who fell for it too. We told Alex it was a boy and she screamed "I KNEW IT!" And then we said the middle name is APRIL FOOLS! DUH! It was great. Mike and I think we are two pretty clever folks.

Well, her I am with baby Press. Sex unknown, for real. We wouldn't do that to all of you. :)

P.s. I look worn out...I really need to start taking pictures when I look cute.
