We're Back!

I know, I know. You were all so worried that I didn't post last week but have no fears I'm back! Mike and I took our last trip out west just the two of us to visit everyone in LA and on the way we stopped in Houston to visit with the yummy mummy's. Here are the cute kids we had the privilege of hanging out with. Leah belongs to Brooke and she is 5 and Drew belongs to Di and Andy and he is 2.5. They were great! Leah is the total opposite of our Brooker in that she LOVES being girly! And Drew has his own language that rocks any other kid I have ever met. I mean, who's child wants to watch the same Redskins game from 1990 something when they won the superbowl and yells at the tv in anger over a bad play!

And then here we all are minus Leah who was already in bed, plus Juli and her fiance Derek! Juli is a former JU dolphin soccer girl as well and hopefully will be joining the yummy mummy club one day!

After hanging out in Houston we flew out to LA where a very anxious family awaited our arrival. And where was our first stop! You know it! IN-N-OUT! We spent the week with family and saw nearly everyone which was great! Mike also got to meet the chickens, snuggle with Pi, and get his toes attacked by Apollo. I think it was a win win for everyone. Mom, Alex, and Babcia hosted the west coast baby shower and it was perfect. Perfect weather, perfect food, and perfect family and friends. It was the best! The presents were all equally amazing but I just have to highlight two. The Kobe Bryant onsie and the crocheted blanket and hat a la my favorite La Salle girls! Oh and of course those (DAMN) cupcakes! All the boys came over later in the day and we ended the day on a perfect note, with family and pizza and cupcakes!

Sitting here with a wood pellet stove really makes me miss that 70 plus degree weather but know that we (me, MIke, and Baby) miss all you west coasters and our door is always open to come visit! Just not the week after the baby is born.

Here I am at 28 weeks in sunny Malibu!

Being Pregnant

Being pregnant is amazing, scary, strange, overwhelming, and just plain AMAZING! I would say this week was slightly taken over by the pregnancy hormones. I was up and then I was down, only to find myself up again. Mike would agree. But I think we made it. On to week 28 tomorrow and our next appointment on Friday. After that we see the midwife every two weeks. Crazy!

We had an amazing night Thursday watching the Lakers beat the Celtics in overtime! Yes, it wasn't a pretty game but a win is a win is a win. And I think we can all agree now that this baby is going to be a Lakers fan. He/she has already been to two games and both have been great wins!

Thanks to Bruce Moyer for finding us these tickets last minute! And I'm pretty sure the guy sitting next to me hated me. As did the rest of the Celtics fans around us. That is why the picture of Mike and I is pretty bad. It's not like they offered to take a picture of us with me cheering on the Lakes. One thing both of us fans had in common was booing the stupid kid that wore a Heat jersey!

Just in case you were wondering the score...

And last not but not least. Me and Baby Press very happy after the win!

Hopefully this week goes quick! We are off to Houston next week to meet with the Yummy Mummy's, Di and Brooke, and then home to LA! Bring us that sunshine!

SO EXCITING!

Here is what is so exciting today!

1. We made it to the 3rd trimester (27 weeks)!! Just 13 more to go!
2. Last night when I pushed on Baby Press he/she kicked back! I think this might be the coolest thing I have ever felt!
3. I'm 95% sure I will be going to watch the Lakers destroy the Celtics tonight!!

Happy Thursday!

Eggplant...ick. Lettuce...ok!

So last week Baby Press was the size of an eggplant. Thank goodness that's over because eggplant is not my favorite! Today we are 26 weeks and 1 day pregnant! Which technically means the 27th week. 27!!! OMG! And Saturday marked the "100 days left before this baby arrives" day!

We had a nice time with the Press grandparents on Saturday and we, meaning more Gail and I, decided we liked the big floral fabric best (the second one in the last post). So that will be the valance and comforter in the nursery. Which, don't ask, we have not really started doing too much with. We have time, right!?

Baby this week is the size of a head of lettuce, 13.6 to 14.8 inches and somewhere around 2.5 pounds. What is really neat is that I can lay down and actually see my belly move when he/she kicks/punches! And boy does Baby Press like to move. It's by far the coolest feeling I have ever felt in my life and I think Mike would agree he likes to feel the kicks too! Really makes us wonder if it's a boy or girl because we already know he/she will play soccer!

Here I am, bright eyed on a lovely NE Monday morning!

Here is baby's first book too from daddy...

In 2 weeks we will be landing in LA on our way to IN-N-OUT!

Fun Fabric!

A quick post to get your opinion...which pattern do you like better?

The more the input the better! I will let you know what it is for in the next post. Keep you wanting more. :)

P.s. Baby has been quite active!
